Bras for Special Outfits

Special clothing needs special undergarments because they look better that way. Without these special undergarments, some formal gowns will be impossible to wear by many women except of course, if they choose to go braless. However, many women are not comfortable of not having to wear a bra at all, especially during formal occasions. These especially designed brassieres make these formal gowns wearable as they take away the unsightly straps and bands of traditional brassieres.

Adhesive bras have adhesives on each cup. The most well-known adhesive bras’ (NuBra) cups are separated from each other but still have front closure for added cleavage and support. Adhesive bras are totally backless and strapless and they are disposable. They can only be worn a few times, afterwards, when the stickiness of the adhesives runs out, they are either disposed of or used as bra insert to some other bra.

 Backless bras have no bands or straps covering the back area.  This is ideal for backless outfits.

 Built-in bras are already attached to the clothes.  Backless clothes, tank tops, and swimsuits are the most common apparels that have built-in bras.

Convertible bras are standard ladies’ bras that have movable and removable straps.  The straps can be altered to accommodate different styles of clothing.  Convertible bras can be arranged to have regular straps style, halter top style, cross-back style, single-shoulder strap, or strapless style.  There are backless types of convertible bras to provide support for backless clothing. 

 Halter top bras can be worn for halter top outfits where the strap is placed around the neck.  They can have thin padding for support.  Some halter top bras may be made more comfortable while some are good for formal halter top outfits.

 Long line bras include a corset that extends to the waistline.  Some, however, can go as low as the hips.  Long line bras are ideal for tight fitting formal attires.  They can help promote good posture and make the abs look flat.

 Strapless bras come with no straps or have removable straps.  They are worn for strapless outfits.
